Gifts to Our Lady of the Mountains' Building A Beacon of Catholic Faith Capital Campaign can be made in the following ways:

1. A one-time cash gift.
2. A pledge of up to three years, to be paid monthly, quarterly, or annually.
3. A non-taxable Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA if you are 70 1/2 years old. At age 72 your QCD can be used to satisfy the IRS' "Required Minimum Distribution" from your IRA. The QCD is reported on Form 1099-R and itemization is not required. The QCD amount is not taxed, so it may not be claimed as a charitable tax deduction. The maximum annual QCD amount is $100,000 if filing singly. If filing jointly, your spouse also can make a QCD from his/her IRA up to an additional $100,000.
4. A gift of stock, bonds, or mutual funds, which allows you to avoid capital gains taxes and the Medicare surtax. If you itemize, you may take an income tax deduction in the amount of the stock's full fair market value at the time of the transfer of the stock. (Diocese of Charlotte Stock Donation Form)
5. A matching gift from your employer, which effectively doubles your gift.

Your gift can be structured in multiple ways. One example is an upfront cash gift in year one followed by an IRA QCD the next two years, for a total of three years.

Gifts can be paid by check, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), or credit card.
